From Britney Spears to Lady Gaga, Glee has featured some of the most iconic pop music of the last decade. And now, one of the groups that made pop music such a roaring phenomenon, is looking to get involved with the hit Fox comedy.
On Monday, Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys started a campaign to get involved with "Glee." The 36-year-old boy band member started the push with his personal Twitter page. Hitting up his 116,000 followers, Brian encouraged his fans to spread this message: "Power of the Chirpsters!!!!! Calling all who care! Get the Backstreet Boys on Glee!!! could you imagine? Oh yes I could! Chirp! Go go go."
The Backstreet Boys have a large and diverse following, coming together with five young men in 1993. The group has sold over 130 million albums, making them the best-selling boy band of all time. Now that the group has teamed up with New Kids on the Block for a blockbuster 2011 tour, their popularity is getting a resurgence.
